Lamps lit with water

Sai Baba was very fond of oil lamps and illumination. He used to keep the Majid lit up with oil lamps, collecting oil from the shops in the village, and he kept them burning the whole night.This had been going on for a long time.

One evening, the traders decided to test him, so they denied oil to Baba. They told him that did not have any oil with them. Unperturbed, Baba returned to the Masjid.

The traders also follow Baba to see how He would light up the Masjid that nigh.

Baba put the dry wicks in the earthen lamps. He then poured water in to the tumrel (tin pot), which contained a few drop of oil, and drank it. Then He spat back the liquid into the tin pot.

He filled all earthen lamps with this divine water and lighted them, The lamps burnt, and kept on burning the whole night, illuminating the whole area.

Seeing this wonderful leela (miracle), the traders realized their mistakes, apologized to Baba and prayed for forgiveness.

Baba being an embodiment of divine love and compassion, pardoned them and dispelled the darkness around them, and asked them to be truthful in future.
